Murphys Creek Theatre Presents Moliere’s “Scapin”

MCT Present's Moliere's SCAPIN

First staged in Paris in 1671, “Scapin” (then entitled “Les Fourberies de Scapin” which literally translates to “Scapin’s Deceits”), tells the tale of the delightfully deceitful Scapin and his employment by two pairs of young lovers to ensure their secret marriages are not torn apart by their fathers’ wishes for them to marry other women of their fathers’ choice.

Moliere’s classic French farce has been translated countless times and continues to endure here in Murphys as the Murphys Creek Theatre group present their production at the Cornelia B. Stevenot Amphitheater through the first weekend in September.
